Atrium Health offers robust benefits packages, paid time off, and opportunities for career advancement.Job SummaryAs a Radiation Therapist at Atrium Health, you will be responsible for planning and treating radiation therapy patients with ionizing radiation in accordance with written directives from Radiation Oncologists and under the direct supervision of the Chief Therapist.Key Responsibilities

• Treat patients with ionizing radiation while adhering to all regulatory guidelines.
• Monitor equipment parameters, document malfunctions, and understand emergency and safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate medical records and treatment schedules.
• Input treatment and simulation charge information into Aria.
• Document patient treatment charts.
• Understand and follow emergency and fault procedures for linear accelerators and simulators.
• Recognize and report patient concerns and physical problems to appropriate personnel.
• Communicate instructions and procedures to patients and their families.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness in the clinic.RequirementsThis role requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling. You must be able to lift and support 35 pounds and speak and understand English. Critical thinking and ability to concentrate are essential. You must be able to respond quickly and make decisions in response to changes on the unit.Education and ExperienceA graduate of an AMA-approved school of Therapeutic Radiology or international equivalent is required. ARRT registration or eligibility is mandatory, with registry passing required within the first 90 days of employment. BLS certification is also required per policy guidelines.
