is responsible for leading a group of employees who perform
strategic analysis to understand portfolio risk, increase
profitability, and optimize operational performance. Key
responsibilities include determining strategic priorities for the
team, identifying trends, and leading efforts to maximize risk
versus return for the business unit. Job expectations include using
data and analytics to solve complex problems, coaching and
developing employees, and partnering across technology, product,
and risk leadership to drive performance.The Consumer Product
Strategy Manager I will support Client Protection Performance
Excellence and is responsible for providing business metric and
performance analysis, report management, and project support at
several different levels. Candidates must have the ability to think
strategically and perform in a proactive manner with limited
supervision.Responsibilities:
- Partner with Client Protection Line of Business teams to drive
strategy and integrate delivery to ensure the customer view is at
the forefront of decisions in the achievement of goals.
- Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of
reporting, analytics, and technical tools/solutions to support
assigned business functions.
- Have accountability for decisions, including process changes,
based on VOC feedback and customer analytics.
- Perform complex analysis of financial models, market data,
financial data, and portfolio trends to understand product
performance and improve portfolio risk, profitability, performance
forecasting, and operational performance.
- Support department-wide strategies and portfolio trend
analysis, forecasting, and risk/control performance.
- Lead innovation by identifying and championing large scale
initiatives that improve the risk management, profitability, and
control oversight of risks for the business unit.
- Identify business trends based on economic and portfolio
conditions and communicate findings to senior management.
- Coach employees on best practices for structuring complex
problems, performing analysis, and communicating the results and
implications of their work.
- Maintain strategic relationships with peers and counterparts
across product, technology, and business control functions.Required
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years' experience working in complex data
environments supporting Performance Management
- Prior relationship/project management experience.
- In-depth knowledge and practical experience working in a data
environment accessing data from multiple platforms.
- Ability to think strategically and develop a deep understanding
of enterprise operations via requirement analysis and assessments
of source system data quality.
- Ability to collaborate with technical experts and develop
solution and functional design documents.
- Ability to learn business and develop business partnerships
with non-technical colleagues.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft SQL
- Advanced proficiency in Excel
- Advanced proficiency in ETL tools and processes
- Advanced experience with Hadoop and Teradata data
environments
- Proficiency with Business Intelligence tools and concepts
- Effective planning, organizational, and time management
skills
- Ability to adapt to change and work in a fast-paced
environment, be creative, and be able to balance multiple
priorities simultaneously.Desired Qualifications:
- Knowledge of the Client Protection space
- Experience working with the SharePoint collaboration tool
