Inside the RolePURPOSE/ FUNCTION
Operate, test, and maintain unmanned, automated, servo-mechanical,
or electromechanical equipment. May assist engineers in testing and
designing robotics equipment.Posting InformationWe provide a

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Align, fit, and assemble component parts, using hand tools,
power tools, fixtures, templates, and microscopes.
- Analyze and record test results, and prepare written testing
documentation.
- Install electrical and electronic parts and hardware in
housings or assemblies, using soldering equipment and hand
tools.
- Read blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and technical orders to
determine methods and sequences of assembly.
- Repair, rework, and calibrate hydraulic and pneumatic
assemblies and systems to meet operational specifications and
tolerances.
- Test performance of electromechanical assemblies, using test
instruments such as oscilloscopes, electronic voltmeters, and
bridges.
- Verify dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance
to specifications, using precision measuring instruments.
- Develop, test, and program new robots and PLCs.
- Operate metalworking machines to fabricate housings, jigs,
fittings, and fixtures.
- Train others to install, use, and maintain robots.
- Perform all duties to the prescribed standard.JOB KNOWLEDGE,
SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language
including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition,
and grammar
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses,
repair, and maintenance.
- Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic
equipment, and computer hardware and software, including
applications and programming.
- Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved
in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings,
and models.
- The ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of
the observer).
- The ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a
machine or a vehicle to exact positions.
- Obtaining and seeing to the appropriate use of equipment,
facilities, and materials needed to do certain work.
- Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining
when and what kind of maintenance is needed.TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

- Frequent exertion of muscle force repeatedly or continuously
over time. This involves muscular endurance and resistance to
muscle fatigue.
- May be required to work at elevated heights including on
