Equity Trading Technology Developer / Engineer
Location: Hybrid (New York, Charlotte, or Atlanta preferred)
Level: Junior to Mid-Level

Overview:
Seeking a technology engineer to support the development of trading technology initiatives, focusing on Execution Optimization and Transaction Cost Analysis. This is a greenfield initiative, allowing the team to build a fully integrated cloud-native solution to streamline trading strategy optimization, FIX connectivity, cost transparency, and automation.

The ideal candidate will work closely with the trading desk and technology team to develop and integrate trading systems using AWS, market data feeds (Bloomberg, FINRA, ICE), and execution venues (e.g., Clearpool, Dash, INCR, Instinet, Virtu, Fidessa OMS).
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain a trading solution to support equity execution optimization and transaction cost analysis.
Integrate market data sources (e.g., Bloomberg, FINRA, ICE) and FIX logs from execution venues into in-house trading systems.
Collaborate with traders and technology colleagues to refine trading strategies based on execution data from Clearpool, Dash, INCR, and Instinet.
Ensure all API integrations follow MuleSoft guidelines for secure and efficient connectivity.

Desired Skills & Experience:

Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

Cloud & Infrastructure: AWS (EC2, S3, EKS, ECS, Lambda)
Programming & Integration: Python, Java, SQL, API development

Data & Market Feeds: Experience with Bloomberg, FINRA, ICE, Fidessa OMS

FIX Protocol Knowledge: Understanding of execution workflows, cost tracking, and trade reconciliation

Trading Systems: Experience working with Clearpool, Dash, INCR, Instinet, and Virtu execution venues

DevOps & Automation: CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes)

Trading Compliance & Regulatory: Experience working with FINRA reporting, SEC regulations, and T+1 settlement automation

Front-Office Trading Support: Ability to support traders in a fast-paced environment

OMS/EMS Integration: Experience with Fidessa OMS, Bloomberg EMS, and execution venue integration
