Mammography Technologist I performs technical activities associated
with screening mammography procedures to obtain high quality images
of the breasts and serves as an integral part of providing an
exceptional patient care experience.Sa - Su / 7a - 7p *Benefits/PTO
Eligible* *$10/hr shift incentive*Essential Duties and
Responsibilities: Operate mammographic and other imaging
equipment/devices in accordance with organizational protocols
Position patients, using immobilization when necessary Evaluate
radiographs for image quality, adjusting position, density, or
contrast and obtaining additional images as needed Explain
screening procedures to patients Prepare exam rooms and equipment
for studies, ensuring cleanliness and adequate stock/inventory of
clinical supplies Obtain, verify, and document all pertinent
information for patient visits, including patient clinical history
and prior imaging Identify care requirements relative to each
patients age-specific needs Use radiation safety measures and
protective devices to comply with government regulations and ensure
the safety of patients and staff Assist with onboarding and
training new Mammography Technician Is Other duties as
assignedMinimum Qualifications:Education/Licensing/Certification:
Graduate of a 24-month AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology
ARRT certification in radiography ARRT advanced certification in
mammography must be obtained within 1 year of hire BLS CPR
certificationExperience (years and type): 1-3 years of Mammography
experience preferredDiagnostic Mammography Training experience a
plusKnowledge and Skills: Computer literate Ability to read and
interpret medical reports Anatomic knowledge of breast tissue
pattern and related structures as well as breast pathology and
treatment of breast pathology Knowledge of radiographic technique
and positioning Excellent communication skills Excellent customer
service, both internal and external Excellent time management and
organizational skillsTravel Required (% of time): 0-25%Physical
Requirements & Work Environment: Primarily walking and standing
Lift up to 25lbs Role may be exposed to radiation, infectious
