Job Description:
Volt is immediately hiring a Lab Tech II with a well-known
industry leader in Charlotte, North Carolina.

In this role you will performs chemical, biological, physical,
and/or mechanical analyses and tests required for research,
development, or quality control of processes and products
This is a first shift position.
As a Lab Tech II you will:
Work with moderate work direction and can identify issues/problems
but may need assistance in resolving.
Assists with compiling, analyzing, interpreting, and documenting
results.
Ability to follow procedures and methods and to work well on a
self-directed team is required.
Good mechanical aptitude and skills as well as experience and
specific training in inspection procedures and/or the product line
are required.
Experience in a lab or technical environment is preferred.
Must be computer literate with good communication and time
management skills.
Estimated Duration up to 24 months.
The ideal candidate will have:
Experience with equipment such as scanning electron microscopes
(SEM), energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS), and total organic
carbon (TOC) analyzers are helpful for success in this role.
Experience with dissolved gases, water filtration/water treatment
and analysis are also important for success.
General knowledge about chemical usage and safety is beneficial for
experiments in the lab.
Extensive technical expertise acquired through experience and/or
some course work
Has understanding of scientific or engineering principles
Demonstrated ability to make technically sound contributions to
advancement of knowledge in area of technological specialty, to
recognize product improvement and/or new product opportunities.
Pay Rate: $25.34 per hour
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on
several factors, including the candidate's education, work
experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications,
etc.
