Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00-07:00 Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience License: Required nursing license Certifications: ACLS, BLS (CCRN preferred) Must-Have: 1 year of CVICU experience outside of orientation Job Description: - Work in a facility with a comprehensive range of specialized centers, including brain, cancer, heart, lung, orthopedics, surgery, weight loss, and women---s health. - Serve in a Level 3 NICU, a 32-bed emergency department, a 29-bed inpatient rehabilitation, and a 15-bed surgical suite & imaging department. - Manage a patient population that includes adult and geriatric patients. - Work in an 8-bed CVICU with patient ratios of 2:1, and occasional 1:1. - Utilize medical equipment such as Impella, IABP, and CRRT. - Employ Cerner electronic health records for documentation. - Demonstrate strong critical thinking skills in a dynamic healthcare setting. - Required to float per scheduled rotation. - Weekend hours required every other weekend or as needed by the facility. - Orientation is offered twice monthly. - Wear professional scrubs of any color.
