Title: IT Operations DirectorLocation: Charlotte, NC Hybrid
Term: 2-3 Days OnsiteTerm: FTE Hybrid 2-3 daysPosition OverviewWe
are seeking an experienced IT Operations Director to support and
manage the company's strategy and daily operations of the company's
hosted, cloud-based, and on-premises infrastructure for information
systems and services that support the entire company. The Director
of IT Operations will develop strategic plans for infrastructure
services such as inter-company networking, telecommunications,
storage, and computing services. The Director of IT Operations will
ensure systems are compliant and supported, while achieving maximum
value for the company.Responsibilities:
- Oversees all aspects of the IT infrastructure,
telecommunications, networks, technical support including a
helpdesk, release management, security, and business
continuity.
- Develops and administers the infrastructure budget; maintains
infrastructure in a cost-effective manner, conducts cost/benefits
analysis of technology expenditures.
- Develops and deploys infrastructure technologies and maintains
their operational use including but not limited to: LAN and WAN,
e-mail, software, and backup systems, disaster recovery, firewalls,
virtual private networks and remote access technologies, storage
area networks, all server platforms and environments, OS patches,
DevOps.
- Ensure infrastructure is secure and compliant with regulations
governing these systems: HIPAA and other authorities governing the
company's activities.
- Ensure effective management of disaster/recovery situations for
regulated systems.
- Provide technology expertise to project teams for the
implementation of regulated systems.
- Manage relationships with technology vendors and facilitate
contacts with partners as required.
- Assist in maintaining the methods, tools, techniques, and
standards related to technology services.
- Stay abreast of emerging information technologies through
research and testing.
- Manage SOX-related IT General Controls and all policies and
procedures related to security.
- Develops and maintains IT policies and procedures that are
compliant with regulations.
- All other duties as assigned.Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business or technology discipline or an
equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Experience: Experience with various certifications in related
technical or business areas, such as Microsoft SQL Server, .NET or
other object-oriented programming, data analysis, or project
management is preferred.
- License/Certification: Certifications in related technical and
business areas preferred such as Microsoft SQL Server; .NET or
other object-oriented programming; analysis; project
management.
- Language Skills: Demonstrated ability to exercise professional
oral and written communication skills with all internal and
external audiences. Ability to explain IT-related issues and
processes to non-IT personnel and leaders.
- Computer Skills: High-level experience with Excel, Word, and
PowerPoint. Broad range of knowledge about and experience with
applications/software that increase security and end user
experience/share-ability of files for our physicians and office
staff. Preferred experience with big data tools: Power Query, Power
Pivot, Power BI, etc.
