experienced HVAC Product Manager who is a motivated, self-starter
to work in a fast-paced environment in either the Charlotte, NC,
Syracuse, NY offices or remote if exceptionally qualified.
About This Role:
This Product Management position resides within the Carrier
Replacement Components (RC) business and is responsible for
management of commercial replacement parts for the Packaged
Air-Cooled & Water-Cooled chiller business. The focus will be on
driving growth and profitability in sales to distribution as well
as new channels (for example: data centers) and will require
cross-functional collaboration with both replacement components and
commercial product teams.
We seek an experienced HVAC Product Manager who is a motivated,
self-starter to work in a fast-paced environment in either
Charlotte, NC, Syracuse, NY offices or remote if exceptionally
qualified.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product management with a cross functional team to achieve
goals, including sales and product forecasts, pricing, gross margin
analysis, and assisting with the execution of market
strategy.
- Performs significant data analysis to identify opportunities
and then translate into customer value propositions/sales path
forward.
- Owns and develops elements of functional strategies and
operational goals with packaged chiller products to provide product
support for new product development as well as corporate strategic
initiatives.
- Will focus on the operational plans for short term items, such
as product launches, including new part set up with pricing, gross
margin, and other required information.
- Recommends and implements business opportunity plans in support
of potential new business. Manage and/or execute the tasks
associated with the plan.
- Analyze competitive product feature, benefits, pricing and
recommend appropriate actions to provide competitive portfolio of
products.
- Provide and analyze sales and product reports by customer and
by channel.
- Provide product information, legal approved product claims to
support marketing materials. Provide support for product videos or
on-line learning module script development and review.
- Support the RC Parts Information Management (PIM) process to
ensure there is electronic data and images to be used in
e-commerce.
- Provide timely responses to difficult & complex inquiries and
build product and brand loyalty with RC's customers.
- Focus and conduct extensive investigation of process gaps to
better understand and implement a more robust and timely process to
support to sales and customers.
- Managing existing processes to find ways to grow the business
and drives customer satisfaction. Utilize solutions that could be
unique in order to keep the business on the cutting edge.
- Needs to communicate cross-functionally across the parties
inside the organization, as well as outside the
organization.
- Requires the ability to communicate to executive leadership
regarding matters of high importance. May require making
recommendations to senior leadership on the best course of
actions.
- Conduct product training sessions online & face to face at
customer training events for 50+ attendees.
- Support distributor events such as open houses and trade shows
to discuss and demo products.
- Provide support and training to RC Sales team.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- 7+ years of work experience in engineering, product management,
sales, and/or marketing
- 3+ years of working experience in CHVAC
- Ability to travel up to 20% of time
- 2+ years of experience in forecasts, pricing, and gross margin
calculation
- 3+ years of experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and
PowerPoint) with proficiency
Preferred Qualifications:
- Work experience with chiller in the CHVAC
- Specific knowledge of the HVAC/R or related industry and
replacement parts & accessories
- Proficiency with SAP, WindChill, SalesForce, and Business
Intelligence systems is desired
- Previous project management experience
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact and
collaborate with a cross-functional team
- Demonstrated sense of urgency, self-initiative, and sense of
ownership
- Willingness to learn and flexible approach is highly
desired
- Highly organized with attention to detail
- Ability to effectively handle multiple priorities
- Excellent follow through skills

Pay Range:
$109,456 - $191,938 Annually
