Director is responsible for the definition, implementation and
monitoring of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs
across the entire Sealed Air Corporation. This person leads a team
of regional EHS professionals, working with plant-based employees
globally to ensure all programs are brought to maturity, frequently
refreshed, and constantly re-evaluated to guarantee site
environmental compliance as well as the safety and wellbeing of the
company's workforce.ESSENTIAL TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Formulate, own and drive the execution of the company's EHS
strategic plan.
- Develop and continuously upgrade all health and safety policies
and procedures.
- Provide direction and support necessary to ensure compliance
with all applicable federal, state, and local laws in the EHS
space.
- Establish work practices across manufacturing operations to
meet or exceed internal and external safety & environmental
standards.
- Identify risks and implement process improvements across
production operations to enable an incident-free workplace.
- Mitigate unsafe working conditions and unsafe employee
behaviors through improved machine design, engineered controls,
preventative machine guarding, and best in class employee training
programs.
- Ensure objectives are constantly refreshed and align with best
practices for environmental health and safety.
- Monitor performance of the company's EHS programs and refresh
as needed to remain compliant with internal and external
regulations.
- Drive EHS performance through continuous improvement on all Key
Performance Indicators.
- Perform thorough root cause analysis and implement proper
corrective actions across global networks for all EHS
recordables.
- Establish a sustainability roadmap to deliver on SEE's
sustainability commitments by individual manufacturing location and
for the total company.
- Set measurable sustainability goals and track progress.
- Monitor company's environmental impact and follow through on
commitments to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, minimize waste of
resources and reduce the overall carbon footprint of
operations.
- Guarantee compliance with all state and federal environmental
regulations by ensuring that compliance is owned locally at all
Manufacturing sites.
- Coach, mentor, and develop a team of diverse and experienced
EHS professionals and leaders.QualificationsREQUIRED
QUALIFICATIONS
- BS in Occupational Health or Engineering, MS, MBA, and/or CSP
preferred.
- Proven experience in administering and auditing critical safety
programs in manufacturing environments.
- 10 or more years of experience in managing EHS in a
manufacturing environment.
- 5 Years' experience as a regional or global EHS
